Bartimaeus Contract Teaching Position
Bartimaeus, Québec has a contract teaching/tutoring position available immediately for a specialized program for Inuit youth. The Ulluriaq Adolescent Center, located in Rivières de Prairies, QC is a residential program housing 8 Inuit girls and 8 Inuit boys, ages 13-17. All students speak English as a second language. We are looking for an experienced educator/tutor to work with the girls, all of whom are IPL students, 3-5 years behind in their studies, and many of whom can present challenging behaviours. Curriculum is open for a professional interpretation and design based on students needs. This temporary full time position would begin immediately; 5 days a week, 6.4 hours/day for the balance of the school year. A contract renewal for next school year (2012-2013) is possible as well.
